I'm an Italian Content Localization Manager for Tourscanner. My passion for languages led me to graduate with a degree in Languages and Cultures for Tourism, where I honed my skills in cultural translation and journalism, which resulted in this blog that allows me to combine my interests by writing about travelling, amazing experiences and wonderful places. This has only increased my list of must-visit destinations, and I'm looking forward to cross them all off as I travel the world and discover its peculiarities.
Travel background
My passion for travelling goes back to when I used to take road trips all over Europe with my parents, discovering hidden gems and destinations off the beaten path. The sense of freedom, discovery and wonder left me craving for more as I'm continuing to travel across the globe to improve my understanding of different cultures while seeing incredible and unforgettable places.
Best travel experiences
One of my most memorable experiences was during a vacation in Kyoto. I'd been visiting all morning and I was looking for something to eat when an unassuming sign caught my attention. Following it through a narrow alley led me to what looked like a house kitchen that could seat four people where an old Japanese couple opened a restaurant and cooked family recipes. It was very heartwarming and certainly a memorable meal!
